HybridChart has the capability to link to your outpatient EHR. In the Patients section, this allows for two things:

· Patient Search: You will be able to add a Patient by searching the EHR database. When a Patient is added this way, they are automatically linked to the EHR.

· View Patient Info: Depending on the outpatient EHR you are linked to, you may be able to view the following information in HybridChart: Basic Demographics, Allergies, Medications, Problem List, and scheduled outpatient appointments.

Link a Patient to the EHR:

1. Navigate to the SuperBill View by clicking on “SuperBill”.

2. If you need to change the Census, use the drop-down menu to change the Census location.

3. Click the name of the Patient you wish to link. When their name appears on the right side of the screen, click the EHR tab.

4. If the Patient is not linked yet, the system will prompt you to do so. Click SEARCH FOR PATIENT and HybridChart will search your EHR for the patient name.

If there is a possibility that the name is spelled differently in the EHR, click Change Search Criteria, and search for the correct first and/or last name.

5. When the correct Patient listing appears below, click LINK.

6. When the Patient is linked, their Patient Info will be available anytime you click on the EHR tab.

Unlink Patient from EHR:

1. If a Patient was linked in error, you may remove the link by scrolling to the bottom of the EHR tab and clicking UNLINK PATIENT.

Mark Outpatient Appointments:

You may use the EHR tab to indicate whether the outpatient appointments listed are for a procedure/surgery or for a procedure/surgery/hospital follow up.

1. Scroll to the Appointments section of the EHR tab. It is located near the bottom.

2. Mark the appointment by toggling the button to the right.

         · The ORIGIN button indicates that the appointment is for a scheduled procedure or surgery.

The FOLLOWUP button indicates that the appointment listed is scheduled as a follow up to the Patient’s procedure/surgery/hospitalization/etc.
