Navigate to the Census

From the Patients Dashboard 

1. Click the Census name from the Census At-A-Glance.


From another Function Area

1. Click the SuperBill Function button.


2. Choose the Census you wish to view/manage from the drop-down list.

The Census is organized with the list of Patients on the left and Functions on the right. 

 

1. Census View Functions

  • The Census drop-down menu allows you to navigate between Census lists.
  • The Search menu allows you to search the Census. NOTE: This only searches the current page of the patient list; if there is more that one page, please use the SEARCH feature at the bottom of the page.
  • The date picker lets you change the date you are viewing. To view a date in the past, click the calendar icon and select the date. The Patient List will update and display the Patients who were on in for the selected date. If Charges are captured, the Date of Service will also update.

 

2. Patient List

The list of Patients displays here.

  • If the Patient has a GREEN bar to the left of their name, this means that you entered a charge for them today OR another Provider entered a charge for you today with you listed as the Primary Biller.
  • If the Patient has an ORANGE bar to the left of their name, this means that another Provider entered a charge for them today.
  • If the Patient has a BLUE bar to the right of their name, this means that the patient is currently selected.
  • If the Patient background is WHITE, this means that the Patient is active.
  • If the Patient background is MINT GREEN, this means that the Patient was discharged today. NOTE: Discharged Patients will drop off the list at midnight.

 

3. Census List Management Features

· The Census Indicators tell you how many Patients are ACTIVE, how many Patients are NEW, and how many Patients have been DISCHARGED today.

· The Refresh button allows you to refresh the Patient list.

· The Filter button allows you to filter the list of Patients by Rounder, Midlevel, and/or Flag.

· The Census Management button allows you to manage multiple patients at once.

· The Add Patient button allows you to add a Patient to the Census.

 

4. Patient Details

  • View: View the Patient information.
  • Edit: Edit the Patient information.
  • Summary: View a summary of all charges for the current admission. Click on a charge listing to view more detail about the charge.
  • ·EHR: Link and Unlink the Patient from the EHR, and view the information transferred in via the EHR. NOTE: The specific patient information visible here varies based on the EHR your Practice uses.
  • Discharge: View and Add discharge instructions and Mark for Discharge.
  • Messages: View any Secure Messages sent about this Patient.
  • Flags: Add or remove a Flag for this Patient.
  • Data: View stored images, document files (facesheets, etc.), and Forms.
  • Log: View all actions taken on this Patient, including: the type of action, date and time it occurred, and which User performed the action. 

 

5. Patient Detail Refresh

  • Click the Refresh button to refresh all tabs in the Patient Details view.
